The Burmese Language
Though it is most commonly referred to as Burmese, the official English name of the language is the Myanmar language. Burmese is the official language of Burma or Myanmar, and is spoken natively by more than 32 million people. It is the second language of more than 10 million people. Burmese is a member of the Lolo-Burmese grouping of the Sino-Tibetan language family.
