New to Interpreting
LUNA cares about training and supporting those early in their ASL interpreting career. Our workshops are designed for ASL interpreters to build vocabulary, learn new techniques, and evaluate one’s progress and needs for improvement.
ASL Mentoring Training is a six-hour, one-day training for nationally certified interpreters who would like to know more about the mentoring process. After this training, participants can become a mentor for LUNA in the Pathways to Certification mentoring program (CEU’s offered).
Engage in open discussion on professional related subjects like ethics, personal business practices, and certification plans at this one-hour “brown bag” lunch.
Multi-Language Ethics Party
This free event series provides a space for all language interpreters to have confidential and safe conversations about the various codes of ethics that govern the field of interpreting and real-life scenarios. Discuss different approaches and perspectives on ethical components of our work over pizza.
