Language Access Planning Workshop
September 18 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am$25
We believe language access is a right and that all people, regardless of background or communicative ability, should be able to acquire the resources they need to live a full life. Whether you are a corporation, government entity, small business, or nonprofit, you should prepare a basic language access plan to ensure that your services, resources, job opportunities and workforce development opportunities are accessible to all community members.
Join us as we host a workshop to walk you through the creation of a basic language access plan for your organization. In this workshop you will:
- Identify the populations in your service area.
- Consider the frequency of contact with Limited English Proficient (LEP) community members.
- Assess the nature and importance of your services or business functions.
- Take into account the resources that you have available to you to make your services accessible.
The goal of the workshop is for participants to walk away with an outline of a basic language access plan, and the tools to create a more extensive plan if necessary.
