A 30 minute online engagement focused on equity in the workplace.

As more employers are switching to virtual mechanisms for HR functions, employee relations, and transition support, it is important to ensure equal employment opportunity measures are in place.

Join Brien Shoemaker, Outreach Education Coordinator for the Indianapolis District of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Tiffany Hanson, Outreach and Engagement Manager for LUNA Language Services, as they explore virtual HR and transition support practices for opportunities to remove barriers and improve equitable employment practices.

Learning Objectives:

  • Overview possible changes in your employee transition process and identify possible barriers for resources for different cultural communities.
  • Understand how decisions about furloughs, temporary layoffs, and permanent terminations may affect different populations and hear some tips for working to ensure these decisions fall within guidelines of equitable practices.
  • Explore solutions and communication strategies to ensure your virtual employee transition support process is equitable for people with disabilities and people from different language backgrounds.

This online activity will be hosted over Zoom.

Please RSVP using the “Register” button. Once registered, you will receive a calendar invite from Tiffany@LUNA360.com with the link to the webinar and details to join.

An ASL interpreter will be provided.
