Join us during your lunch break on August 25th to learn how to ensure brand consistency in your translated materials.

When marketing your brand to an audience in another language, it is important to prepare resources for your translators to ensure your brand’s vision remains consistent. This could include considerations like understanding how words will translate into another language, choosing to utilize formal or informal voice, and communicating industry or brand specific terminology to your translators.

  • Understand the basics of building your own style guide
  • Identify resources that could be helpful to guide your translation work—this could include translation memory and term base, audience-focused glossaries, company backgrounders
  • Build a list of considerations for localized content to ensure your brands’ voice is consistent in other languages

👤 About the speaker:

Una Hartzell-Baird is LUNA Language Services Director of Translation. She oversees the daily operations of the translation department. Her background working as an interpreter, sales representative, and project manager gives Una excellent experience working with language service professionals. Una was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and relocated with her family to Indianapolis in 1995 through a refugee resettlement program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs: Nonprofit Management at the IUPUI Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs in 2009 and her Master of Public Affairs in 2010.
