Translation Project Manager

Job Description: The Translation Project Manager position will support the Translation Department through the day-to-day project management of active client projects, creation of quotes, evaluation of resources, and other duties as assigned.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day project activities including:

  • Preparing quotes for existing and new clients
  • Assigning jobs to translators
  • Reviewing and returning finished translations
  • Following up on pending confirmations and quote requests (job side)
  • Processing walk-in translations*
  • Preparing translations for mailing (as needed)*

Additional activities include:

  • Participating in weekly team meetings
  • Helping to create client and resource profiles in Plunet
  • Maintaining the information in Plunet for price lists, properties, units, etc.
  • Translation and DTP, time permitting
  • Bringing ideas to the table to help improve our team
  • Occasional translation mailing prep on weekends or after hours (specifically for EDIs) *

Education and Background: The Project Manager will hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in translation, business, language, or another relevant field. The Project Manager will also have one year or more project management experience. If no degree is held, two years of project management experience in the translation field will be required.
