LUNA Language Services is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to help support our accounting team. This position will be responsible for researching and resolving overdue client invoice issues, taking care to preserve the client relationship, when possible, while also keeping LUNA’s outstanding receivables balance to a minimum.

The person in this position must have exemplary communication skills, a willingness to work as part of a close team, and a desire to work in a dynamic and multilingual environment. The salary for this position starts at $37,440.

This job is not remote or hybrid. LUNA is located in Indianapolis. 

Characteristic duties and responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for addressing any inquiries and questions related to all overdue receivables;
  • Develop financial goals and objectives for receivables collection;
  • Develop and produce outstanding balance statements for clients;
  • Monitor the work environment for process problems, taking immediate action to document issues, suggest solutions, and report recommendations to the Finance Operations Manager;
  • Compile information on financial process issues and provide summaries to the Finance Operations Manager and CEO, upon request;
  • Follow-up and collect on all overdue receivables;
  • Work with the Finance Operations Manager to develop updated collections processes;
  • Assist the Operations department across multiple functions, including quality assurance, process development & optimization, workgroup participation, and special projects;
  • Assist with the creation of client invoices;
  • Maintain the Zendesk Accounting Support inbox;
  • Communicate with interpreters and clients regarding both payables and receivables

On-the-job training to be provided:

  • ISO
  • Software: Zendesk Support, Zendesk Talk, Quickbooks Online, Atrium, Plunet, Boostlingo, Propio, and various client-specific invoicing portals

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Must have, at a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
  • Background: Previous customer service experience is required. Previous bookkeeping or collections experience preferred, but not required.

  • Proficiency in English (additional proficiencies in Spanish or American Sign Language are a plus)
